Limited Edition Prints $5.00

We have created a limited number of original prints to commemorate The Coffee C'Art's debut. Each print is numbered, dated, stamped, and signed by the artist. Each 5.5" x 4.25" print comes with a press release about the C'Art. $5.00 covers the cost of the print and shipping and handling.

In addition to these prints, we created some event-specific art works that we will make available in the coming days.

Day Two at the C'Art

The cart is loaded with art and hot coffee and ready for business.

We enjoyed drinking coffee and talking with C'Art customers, all of whom seemed to get a kick out of the C'Art (and its prices).

Christopher and I had a blast serving coffee and hanging out in the C'Art.

Lots of customers had comments about the C'Art's sponsor, "The Guest of Cindy Sherman," a documentary that provides intimate access to the art world - including scenes shot at the Armory Show. "The Guest of Cindy Sherman" opens in theaters March 27th.

Stay tuned for more photos and reports about the C'Art's big debut.

The C'Art Starts at the Armory Show

Our first day out was a fun one. The weather was gorgeous, we sold some work, and a lot of people stopped to talk about the "Guest of Cindy Sherman" movie. Everyone who came by or happened by enjoyed the C'Art.

Armory employees liked our prices and could browse through our entire show during a break.

The "Guest of Cindy Sherman" coffee cups were a big hit; some visitors came to claim a cup with the request, "hold the coffee." Note the master of up-sell, our coffee man, Shams, behind Christopher.

"Excuse me, ma'am, could you move that drawing so I can see the doughnuts?" This is the C'Art loaded with artwork and ready for attendees.

Some work on exhibit in the C'Art.

Our old and dear favorite, the SOLD sign (on the ovens).

There's more show left! One more day of The Coffee C'Art - Sunday March 8th. Come and see us if you can.

The Coffee C'Art Debuts at The Armory Show

GET FIVE CENT COFFEE AT NYC's NEWEST AND SMALLEST ART FAIR

"Guest of Cindy Sherman," the critically acclaimed documentary that wends through the New York City art scene, sponsors the launch of New York City's tiniest and only mobile art fair, The Coffee C'Art. This micro-fair, which takes place inside of a working New York City coffee cart, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 7th and 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Visitors can find The Coffee C'Art parked on the southeast corner of 54th Street and 12th Avenue, directly across from the Armory Show's Pier 94 entrance.

The Coffee C'Art is an artistic collaboration developed by film producer Christopher Trela and artist Mame McCutchin. This pioneering yet diminutive art fair will feature McCutchin's quirky and warm drawings.

The first 1,000 visitors to The Coffee C'Art will each receive limited edition custom-printed "Guest of Cindy Sherman" coffee cups designed by artist Walter Robinson. Robinson, current Editor of Artnet.com magazine, was also a correspondent for legendary public access cable show “Gallery Beat” in the late 1990s and is featured in Guest of Cindy Sherman. Anyone who mentions “Gallery Beat” at The Coffee C'Art will receive a free cup of coffee! This is what the cup will have on it.

"Guest of Cindy Sherman" is directed by Paul H-O (co-host of Gallery Beat as well as being Cindy’s ex-boyfriend) and Tom Donahue and features interviews with Cindy Sherman as well as John Waters, Eric Bogosian, Danny DeVito, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Molly Ringwald, Carol Kane among others. The film will open in theaters on March 27, 2009.
